Saturday 12th June 2004- Pen-y-Ghent SOTA: G/NP-010. We climbed up the steep bit on the right!.....
.....and this is what it was like on the top. 18 contacts on 2m FM as far as mid-Wales.
You can see the SOTA beam and pole, the FT 817 is amongst the bundle at the bottom.
Sunday 13th June 2004 - Buckden Pike SOTA: G/NP-009. 56 Contacts including the June 144MHz Backpacker's Contest. As you can see - the wind was blowing from the left!
.......and this was me operating from Buckden Pike again - this time in March 2009. It was very cold (I had two coats and a fleece on - I haven't put on THAT much weight!), but worth 9 SOTA points!
